EPP forum launches Design Award 2009/10.
Designers, product developers and persons with extraordinary ideas are in demand for the second Design Award 2009/10. The task is not simple: The challenge is to give the versatile foam EPP a new shape. The practical effect, the colour or the size of the EPP design object is left to the imagination of the developer.

Once again, great prizes are offered: For the first winner 4000.- euros, for the runner-up 2000.- euros and the third place 1000.- euros. It is planned to implement the winning project for general use. Closing date is November 30th of 2009.

2008 in retrospect
In June 2008, the winners of the EPP Design Award 2007/08 were awarded by the EPP forum in the BASF design factory. The first prize was won by the EPP egg cups of Britta Stockinger: In her winning object, the young product designer showed EPP to its optimal advantage: insulating, transport safe and simply worth seeing.

The second prize was granted to the teamwork of Maria Predel and Dirk Pessler. They developed a robust and still very lightweight protective cover for mobile phones made of EPP. Walter Kurtz created the EPP pyramid, which was honoured with third place. And like the real pyramids, it also contains a mystic "interior".

It was Bayba, which catapulted itself into the hearts of the Jury - a glaring red fantasy animal made of EPP. So, the jurors decided to award a special prize for this most funny implementation of EPP.
