EPP forum with new member of the board: Dr. Peter Wolf
On November 12th of 2009, the EPP forum retired graduate engineer Volker Hammes from his position on the Board of Management. The background: Hammes leaves the department of plastics of BASF SE and takes over the position Director of Marketing & Sales Eastern Europe, Africa, West Asia intra-organisation of Europe. With Dr. Peter Wolf as successor, the forum gets an impressed supporter of the innovative material.

Between 1998 and 2002, Dr. Peter Wolf acted as head of applications engineering of technical plastics in Wyandotte (MI, USA) for BASF Corporation and subsequently assumed control of the business management for the specialties of styrene copolymer of BASF SE in Ludwigshafen.

Since 2007 responsible for the business management in the domain of polyolefin foams of BASF SE, Dr. Peter Wolf has dedicated himself to the advancement of innovative plastics and high-performance polymers. "With my future work I want to be conducive to acquaint a wider audience with the possibilities of this substance far from being exhausted," says Wolf.

The fledgling member of the board is confident that EPP stands for a great advantage for the technical solutions of the diverse industries. For this purpose, the potential of the material and its differences compared to other foams would have to be made accessible to a wider public, though.

Thus, the EPP forum has the ability to address problems extensively to enable solutions which can be realized immediately. "And that is what finally turns ideas into innovations which we want to conduct with passion - according to our motto ," says the new member of the board.
