76 | Fortification for the EPP Forum – Keiels Formenbau is a new Member

The world of our material expanded polypropylene (EPP) is vast and complex: From research & development, to processing & application, to the final product and its market introduction, the tiny EPP beads go through a long process. So, it’s a good thing there is a meeting place, where all scientists, entrepreneurs and designers involved in the value chain can get together! Our EPP Forum is an ideal platform for interdisciplinary knowledge transfer, networking and valuable synergetic effects.

An innovative network like the EPP Forum can only work well if it finds members who stand behind their vision and their goals. We are therefore all the more delighted to receive new supporters and sponsoring members in the EPP Forum.

We are proud to have gained Keiels Formenbau GmbH as a new sponsoring member. Since 1990, the company has established itself in the design and manufacture of foam-working tools for EPP, EPS and EPE. The idea behind the EPP Forum, that theory and practice must go hand in hand to achieve high, sustainable quality, corresponds perfectly with the corporate philosophy of Keiels Formenbau. Forever concentrating on the technical developments and advancements in the field of particle foams, Keiels Formenbau designs its tools according to the customer needs and product requirements. The modern company has six CAD/CAM workstations for developing perfectly adapted tools.

Finding a tailored solution for producing an EPP moulded part requires close cooperation with the business partners. This is another reason why Keiels has become a sponsoring member of the EPP Forum. The company in turn exploits the benefits of membership for itself. These include, among others, direct discussions with scientists for learning of current research results and applying them early on in toolmaking, contact with industrial companies to potentially gain new customers, and the marketing possibilities such as a broader internet presence by linking to the EPP Forum site or by joint trade fair appearances. With Keiels Formenbau, the EPP Forum has gained a valuable member who, as a representative of the toolmaking industry, will create a lot of positive resonance for the EPP Forum.
